Gene E. Pendergast, Jr. is Of Counsel to the firm. Mr. Pendergast has been practicing in the probate court in Sacramento County and surrounding counties for more than 40 years. He has handled numerous complex estate, trust, and conservatorship matters and disputes. In the real estate area, he has represented mortgage bankers, developers, landlords, tenants and property owners.

Mr. Pendergast received his law degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1964. His undergraduate degree is from the University of California at Davis, where he majored in political science. Mr. Pendergast has been in private practice since 1965, having become Of Counsel to Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney, LLP, in 2000.

Mr. Pendergast has served as president and as a board member of numerous non-profit organizations. He is a former member of the Board of Regents of the University of California and Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Selection of Regents of the University of California.
