Mr. Elsbernd joined Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney, LLP, as an associate in September 2009. He obtained his undergraduate degree at The George Washington University (GWU), in Washington, D.C.; graduating summa cum laude. He also graduated with honors in Hispanic Languages and Literature, and obtained a second major in Speech and Hearing Science.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Elsbernd was a legal extern for the California Emergency Management Agency, working in the Executive legal department drafting and translating bi-national and interstate memorandums of understanding and other legal documents. Mr. Elsbernd was also a legal extern for the Solano County Public Defender.
In 2010, Mr. Elsbernd was appointed as the District 2 Representative (now District 3) for the California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA). In 2011, he was elected to the Board of Governors (now, the Board of Trustees) of the State Bar of California for a one-year term. Following the expiration of his term on the Board of Trustees in 2012, Mr. Elsbernd was re-appointed to the CYLA for a three-year term as the District 3 representative.
