Firm Wins Defense Verdict in Federal Race Discrimination Case
November 2011

On November 8, 2011, Wilke Fleury Partner Kelli M. Kennaday won a defense verdict in a race discrimination case brought in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California. The plaintiff in the case, a truck driver, alleged that he was terminated because of his race. The defendant, Recycle to Conserve, Inc., asserted that the plaintiff had been terminated for violating the Company’s two accident policy. The jury deliberated for less than an hour before returning a verdict in favor of Recycle to Conserve.
