Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney, LLP, is pleased to announce that Trevor L. Stapleton has joined the firm as an Associate.
Mr. Stapleton is a transactional attorney, advising individuals, sole-proprietors and small businesses in taxation, entity formation, general business law, asset protection and real estate. His practice also includes estate planning with an emphasis on estate and gift tax planning, probate and trust law. He received his Juris Doctorate and Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Willamette University College of Law and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of California, the State of Washington and the United States Tax Court.

30 Year Wilke Fleury Veteran Appointed To Sacramento Superior Court
Alan Perkins, a partner at Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney LLP since 1982, was appointed on February 16, 2005 to the Sacramento Superior Court.
During his tenure at the firm, Mr. Perkins’ practice focused on bankruptcy as well as construction and real property cases. He also has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution and served as a court-appointed and private arbitrator and mediator.
An adjunct professor at UC Davis’ King Hall School of Law, Mr. Perkins also is a long-time community activist.
Perkins is the seventh Wilke Fleury attorney to be selected for a judgeship.
Ronald Lamb Joins Firm
Experienced litigator Ronald Lamb became of counsel to Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney LLP as of April 2005.
For more than 15 years Mr. Lamb has specialized in the defense of medical malpractice cases and administrative law actions pertaining to medical malpractice issues. This defense has included both an active trial practice as well as resolutions involving contractual binding arbitration.
A 1981 graduate of University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law, Mr. Lamb served as a U.S. Air Force navigator and instructor then remained in the reserves as an Air Intelligence Officer until he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1997.
Tony Eaton and Craig Carnes are Firm’s Newest Attorneys
Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney, LLP, is pleased to announce that Craig Carnes and Anthony Eaton have joined the firm as Associates.
Mr. Carnes will handle advising individuals, small businesses and corporations in the areas of general business law, real estate law and employment law. He obtained is Juris Doctorate in 2005 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif.
Mr. Eaton will handle employment law, contract disputes, general business law and tort liability. He obtained his Juris Doctorate with distinction and completed the Trial Advocacy Certificate Program at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2005.
“We are delighted to welcome Craig and Tony to our growing team,” said Stephen K. Marmaduke, Managing Partner. “Both Craig and Tony are a great complement to our practice and we look forward to the valuable services they will provide our clients,” he added.
Danielle Guard Named Partner
Danielle M. Guard, an associate at Wilke, Fleury, Hoffelt, Gould & Birney LLP since June 1997, became a partner of the firm in January 2005.
Ms. Guard’s practice has focused on medical malpractice defense as well as labor and employment law and general litigation.
She earned her B.A. from the University of Utah in 1990 and her J.D. in 1994 from the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law.
