Transactional Corporate, Estates & Trusts Associate

Wilke Fleury is seeking a skilled and motivated Transactional Estates & Trusts / Corporate Attorney to join our growing team in Sacramento, California. This role is a unique opportunity to collaborate with experienced attorneys across a number of practice areas.  The ideal candidate is detail oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit who enjoys sophisticated planning work and long term close client relationships..

The attorney will assist individuals, families, and businesses with a wide range of transactional matters, including estate planning and implementation, trust administration, , business formation, operation, transactions and succession planning , and real estate transactions. The practice is client-facing and offers meaningful responsibility, autonomy, and long-term growth opportunities.

This is a full time, in office position in Sacramento, California with remote considerations consistent with the firm’s remote work policy for attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Working with clients to provide comprehensive advice, counsel and education relative to estate planning, business planning and transactions and real estate transactions
  • Drafting documents to implement client planning
  •  Assisting clients with trust administration, trust disputes and probate matters
  • Communicating directly with clients and managing matters efficiently from start to finish

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
  • 3 to 5 years of substantive experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Estate Planning – review and analysis of existing estate planning documents; drafting of substantive estate planning documents; advising and counseling clients relative to estate and succession planning
    • Trust Administration – including trust disputes and accountings
    • Probate proceedings
    • Corporate -analysis and strategic planning relative to entity selections, planning and formation; entity transitions including sales, mergers and reorganizations
    • Real Estate – commercial real estate transactions including transfers, sales, leasing and exchanges; property tax analysis and planning;
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
  • Client-focused mindset and excellent inter-personal and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $150,000 – $220,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
